It was a passerby who discovered the body of the 7-year-old boy this Friday, November 3, not far from the town center of Choisy-le-Roi, in Val-de-Marne.

A seven-year-old child was found in a trash bag this Friday, November 3, in the evening. If initially the Parisian announced that the victim was taken out of “a garbage container”, it was in reality under a car that she was found. According to the daily, traces of beatings and strangulation were found on the child’s body.

The main suspect is a 28-year-old individual who presented himself at the Choisy-le-Roi police station around 6 p.m. on the day of the incident. He then allegedly showed the police a photo of the child and told them where he was. According to Le Figaro, local residents would have, at the same time, contacted the police when they discovered his lifeless body.

A disturbing personality

This Thursday, November 9, new elements were revealed by Le Parisien on the disturbing personality of Karl, the main suspect in this case. Indeed, if the motivations of the person who presented himself as the young boy’s “nanny” still remain unclear, our colleagues indicate that his psychological state was complicated to say the least. He would be depressed.

And it is precisely for this reason that the latter would have started drinking at his employers’ house before strangling the child. During his police custody, Karl benefited from a psychiatric assessment which made it possible to determine that he was “accessible to criminal sanction”.

Already implicated in a sexual assault

Another point interested the investigators, because if his criminal record is clean, BFMTV specifies that the suspect has already been implicated in a case of sexual assault on a 15-year-old minor, in June 2022. It had been closed without further action for lack of violation. In this case, he was filmed by walkers kissing the forehead of a little girl in a park in Paris, before caressing her back under clothing.

“Child pornography files were allegedly found on the suspect’s computer, but this information has not been confirmed or denied. Karl denies any pedophilic inclination,” explains Le Parisien.

The investigation was entrusted to the Minor Protection Brigade.
