Alert in Tan-Tan: Seizure of Spoiled Meat in Several Stores

As part of a surprise control operation, a joint commission in Tan-Tan discovered and seized quantities of rotten minced meat and sausages, which led the public prosecutor’s office to intervene.

The control operation, carried out recently by a joint commission in Tan-Tan, made it possible to put an end to the sale of minced meat and sausages unfit for consumption. The merchandise was discovered during surprise visits to several establishments in the city.

The seizure of these defective food products was carried out as part of a control campaign specifically targeting stores selling food products, red and white meats, as well as prepared meals. This campaign is part of ongoing efforts to combat clandestine slaughter and the trade in spoiled food products.

The seized food products were marked by a foul odor and did not meet the required safety standards. Despite this, they were sold to consumers without respecting basic rules of conservation and hygiene.

Following this discovery, the prosecution ordered the immediate confiscation and destruction of the merchandise to prevent any further marketing. In addition, an investigation was opened to determine the exact circumstances of this matter and to identify those responsible for the acquisition, transport and marketing of these defective food products.

This case highlights the potential dangers to public health posed by the sale of spoiled food products and highlights the importance of control and surveillance measures to ensure consumer safety.
