Arab Summit: Morocco’s FM Holds Talks with Jordan’s Deputy PM-FM in Manama

Manama – Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, held talks, here Tuesday, with Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Al-Safadi, on the occasion of the 33rd Arab Summit.

Bourita said the meeting with his Jordanian peer is part of the multidimensional strategic relations between Morocco and Jordan, as well as the tradition of consultation and coordination marking ties between the two brotherly countries, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, and his brother HM King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, may God preserve him.

The two ministers underlined the convergence of the two countries’ positions with regard to the blatant aggression against Gaza as well as the pressing need to immediately and urgently end the war and protect Palestinian civilians, while expressing their outright rejection of any attempt to forcefully displace Palestinians.

Taking into account the presidency of the Al Quds Committee ensured by HM King Mohammed VI, and the Hashemite supervision ensured by King Abdullah II over the holy sites of Al Quds, the two ministers stressed the need to preserve the legal and historical status of the city of Al Quds and rejected all measures detrimental to the situation of the occupied city.
