A man entered a hospital in Clermont-Ferrand before attacking a security guard and two police officers. He was subdued and arrested by the police.

According to information from BFMTV, the events took place on the night of Monday October 2 to Wednesday October 3. A man who was “obviously unbalanced”, according to a source close to the investigation, attacked the security guard at the Clermont-Ferrand hospital center around two in the morning, stabbing him with scissors.

The individual was arrested by the police. Two police officers were injured during the intervention when the suspect attacked them with a screwdriver several times. The assailant was known to the police.

According to our colleagues, an investigation was opened by the prosecution for “aggravated attempted murder”, but according to a judicial source the facts could be reclassified as a less serious offense due to the “light” injuries.
