Friday’s attack, which occurred at the Gambetta high school in Arras and which left one dead and three injured, was committed by Mohamed Mogouchkov, born in 2003 in Russia and listed as a radicalized Islamist. The latter was arrested by the police in the courtyard of the establishment, declared Friday the anti-terrorism prosecutor’s office, which opened an investigation for charges of “assassination in relation to a terrorist enterprise”, “attempted assassination in relationship with a terrorist enterprise” and “terrorist criminal association with a view to preparing crimes against people”.

The deceased teacher, Dominique Bernard, was a French teacher.
