The Minister of Education Gabriel Attal indicated that there were several incidents this Monday, October 16 during the minute of silence which was observed in all establishments at 2 p.m. There are “179 students” who disrupted this moment of homage and contemplation in memory of the teacher killed in Arras, Dominique Bernard, during the knife attack at the Gambetta high school. But also in memory of Samuel Paty.

During questions to the government, the minister indicated that each reported case was the subject of a “referral” to the courts, reports FranceInfo. He also asked for “disciplinary measures” and, for “the most serious cases” which fall under the “apology of the terrorist”, the “exclusion” of students until the disciplinary sanctions are known.
