These teams will be divided into 12 groups of four teams each. Ivory Coast, defending champion, is among the top seeds.

The CAN 2025 qualifiers will begin in September 2024. Of the 48 teams, only 23 will qualify to join Morocco, the host country, already automatically qualified. The competition promises to be tough with teams ready to fight for their place.

The announcement of the draw date comes as the question of the date of the competition remains unresolved, with a likely rescheduling to December 2025 due to the FIFA Club World Cup. This change aims to avoid calendar conflicts and ensure optimal participation of African clubs and players.

Morocco, the host country, is actively preparing to host this edition of the CAN, with infrastructure and logistics being prepared to guarantee an unforgettable experience for teams and supporters. This edition of the CAN promises to be a landmark event for African football, with matches that promise to be exciting and high-level.
