Casablanca: MOMO “Hit Radio” Prosecuted Free on Bail of 10 Million Cents

The deputy prosecutor at the Aïn Sebaâ criminal court in Casablanca decided to prosecute Mohamed Boussfiha, also known as “Momo” on “Hit Radio”, on bail of 10 million centimes. This decision follows accusations of defamation and dissemination of false information.

In this case, two individuals were also sent to detention at the local Oukacha prison for fabricating a fictitious crime and defamation of an organized institution.

The interrogations carried out by the deputy prosecutor shed light on crucial details concerning the case, in particular the origin of Boussfiha’s cell phone and the date of acquisition of it.

Investigations supervised by the competent public prosecutor’s office, in collaboration with the services of the General Directorate of National Territorial Surveillance, revealed that the accused knowingly disseminated false information, harming public security and the image of a organized institution.

Continuing investigations led to the arrest of the second accomplice involved in these criminal activities, already known for similar offenses.

This case raises concerns about the irresponsible use of the media and the impact of the spread of false information on public safety and trust.
