Casablanca: The 17th edition of Jazzablanca confirms the success of a unifying festival that creates emotions (organizers)

The closing ceremony of the 17th edition of Jazzablanca was marked by an intergenerational program of talented artists, confirming the success of a unifying festival that creates emotions.

According to a press release from the organizers, this 17th edition marked a new stage in the maturity of Jazzablanca, the emblematic festival of the Metropolis.

Throughout the three sold-out evenings, the same source adds, Anfa Park and the Place des Nations-Unies found the warm welcome of their audience eager to escape to the rhythm of daring musical offerings, at through Jazzablanca, which has become one of the best “boutique festivals” in Africa.

The third evening of the festival started with the duo Sarah & Ismaël, an opportunity for the public to discover two passionate Moroccan musicians, who brilliantly handle the complexity of the national musical heritage, also returning to the concert of American drummer Makaya McCraven, who redefines the musical field of contemporary jazz.

On the Casa Anfa Stage, the KALEO group met a passionate audience, who came to sing in chorus. The Icelandic folk rock band performed on Saturday evening for the first time in Morocco.

Wearing the Atlas Lions jersey, the leader of the group Jökull Júlíusson, for his part, offered impressive moments during which the artist and his fans fully embraced the spirit of the festival.

The final clap at Anfa Park was given by the legendary Italian singer Zucchero, who performed a closing concert that delighted the nostalgic crowd.

On the Place des Nations-Unies, the “Nouveau Souffle by Société Générale” stage gave way to Saad Tiouly and the Snitra group, who delivered two formidable performances imbued with Moroccan sounds. Saad Tiouly and his guembri traveled through the richness of the Gnaoua register, before giving way to Snitra and his cocktail of Moroccan musical inspirations, underlines the press release.

With top-notch facilities, festival-goers enjoyed different outdoor spaces and atmospheres; entertainment stands, numerous “chill zones”, and a fine selection of restaurateurs who offered a wide culinary choice.

Since its creation, Jazzablanca has always been at the forefront, paying attention to the creation of a unique festival experience, and offering places of sharing where music, culture and conviviality combine. These efforts, constantly renewed over the years, give the festival its current singularity, conclude the organizers.

The music production agency Seven PM and its teams would like to thank the artists, sponsors, public authorities and law enforcement, media partners, journalists, and festival-goers, who all contributed to making this edition a resounding success.

Seven PM has also arranged for the next events: Casa Anfa Laltina in Anfa Park from June 21 to 23, Alif Festival in Anfa Park on July 4 & 5, Amazingh Taghazout Bay Festival from August 2 to 10 and Tanjazz from September 19 to 22.
