Casatramway: Good news for the Casaouis!

Casablanca announces the entry into service of the T3 and T4 tramway lines from Monday. Casa Transports confirmed the start of the new lines, which total 26.5 km and 39 stations.

These lines complement the current network, tripling its length since 2012. The 14 km long T3 line will connect the Al Wahda and Salmia districts to the port of Casablanca. The 12.5 km long T4 line will connect the Moulay Rachid industrial zone to the Arab League park.

Tests completed, launch imminent

Before their launch, the lines have undergone a dry run since May and a pre-operation phase. Casa Transports ensures that all necessary adjustments have been made to guarantee safety and comfort for passengers.

With this extension, Casablanca will have a network of 98 km, compared to 31 km at its inauguration in 2012. This development is part of the city’s efforts to improve urban mobility and facilitate travel in rapidly expanding areas.

A tram every 10 minutes

The T3 and T4 lines will operate from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., with a tram every 10 minutes. The initial fleet consists of 24 trains, but this figure will increase to 40 trains, with a capacity of 600 passengers per train, allowing a frequency of passage every 5 minutes in the long term.

This expansion is a direct response to the growing demand for mobility in the city. Casa Transports emphasizes that these new lines are a continuation of the service already offered by the T1 and T2 lines as well as the Casabusway lines.

More than 150 stations and better connectivity

With a total of 151 stations and 12 transfer points, the T3 and T4 lines strengthen the network of Casablanca’s public transport. The new service promises to offer efficient mobility solutions to Casablancans while ensuring better connectivity between districts.
