Disappearance of Marwan Berreni: the actor’s identity papers were found next to the corpse

His name is Marwan Berreni. And he is one of the stars of the TV series Plus belle la vie, he who played the role of Abdel Fedala on screen. A soap opera and an actor whose big return to the screen was planned for 2024 on TF1.

On August 3, while walking her dog in Mâcon (Saône-et-Loire), a young woman was hit by the actor’s vehicle. For the 38-year-old victim, the consequences were numerous: broken ribs, fractures of the pelvis and collarbone. She stayed in hospital for three weeks and had to undergo rehabilitation.

However, neither the victim, nor the witnesses to the accident, nor the video surveillance images were able to clearly identify the face of the driver of the 4×4. Marwan Berreni is currently considered a witness in this case, as recalled by Anne-Lise Furstoss, the new prosecutor of Mâcon.

Since then, Marwan Berreni has not been found. But this Thursday, October 12, Le Parisien reported that the body of a man had been discovered “in an uninhabited house” in the town of Corcelles-en-Beaujolais, in the Rhône. Although it had not yet been identified, “it could be the remains of the actor from Plus Belle La Vie”, wrote the daily.

Information confirmed by Paris Match in the process which announced that “it is indeed the corpse of the actor”. And for good reason, a fanny pack with, inside, the identity card as well as the victim’s bank card and driving license were found by investigators next to the body
