This is a situation that should worry dog owners. In the town of Marquette-lez-Lille, residents discovered poisoned meatballs. Dogs reportedly showed symptoms of poisoning while others died, report our colleagues at BFM Grand Lille.
René, a Marquet resident, and his neighbor, claim to have discovered around twenty meatballs in front of their home. “We wonder what world we live in (…) Why poison dogs? What must we do ? No longer take your dog out or run it in the garden when it is small, confides a resident to the Lille media.
An alert was also launched on social networks to call on owners to exercise extreme caution in the face of this phenomenon. An act which suggests that it was “deliberate poisoning”, according to the municipality. “He’s part of the family, I’m careful that he doesn’t eat things on the road,” explains another Marquet resident.
A complaint was finally filed. Cases of poisoning were also detected in Lille, at the Citadelle park, where two complaints were filed by the municipality. Dogs died.
