US President Donald Trump on Sunday broke into what netizens called was a “funny little dance” at Charlie Kirk’s memorial ceremony, making his widow Erika Kirk smile as they both paid tributes to the political activists who was shot dead by a sniper on September 10 in Utah.

At the memorial ceremony in State Farm stadium of Arizona’s Glendale, Donald Trump proclaimed Charlie Kirk a “martyr for American freedom” while Erika Kirk said she forgave the man who gunned down her husband.
Multiple videos from the ceremony flooded social media, one of them showing Donald Trump almost grooving with Erika Kirk beside her as mourners sang a memorial song in the backdrop.
Before thousands of people, Trump said, “On that day, this evangelist for American liberty became immortal… He’s a martyr now for American freedom.”
Trump’s remarks followed Erika Kirk’s vow to continue her husband’s legacy, enrolling more campuses and students in the conservative movement he founded.
Erika Kirk delivered her eulogy in a tearful speech near the end of an hours-long memorial service for her husband who was a conservative activist and the co-founder of the organisation Turning Point USA.
In a powerful message, Erika Kirk declared she forgives the man who killed her husband.
“I forgive him,” she said. “I forgive him because it was what Christ did and it’s what Charlie would do.”
A Donald Trump ally, Charlie Kirk was killed in broad daylight while speaking about social issues and was answering a question on gun violence when he was shot.
It was a debate hosted by his nonprofit political youth organization, Arizona-based Turning Point USA, at the Sorensen Center courtyard on the Utah Valley University campus.
