A video of Donald Trump Jr. impersonating his father, President Donald Trump, at Charlie Kirk’s memorial service has gone viral on social media. Thousands of people showed up at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, to pay tribute to the slain Turning Point USA CEO.

Among those who spoke at the event was Trump Jr, who told the crowd that his father was angry with him for being too “aggressive” on social media. “Anyone who’s seen me on social media knows I’m far more likely to crack a joke or get myself in trouble for posting some grossly inappropriate memes than I am to shed a tear,” Trump Jr. said.
He then impersonated President Trump, saying, “You know Don, Don, you’re getting a little aggressive on social media Don, relax.”
President Trump was seen laughing as he watched on.
Trump Jr. also paid tribute to Kirk, saying he “embodied something at the very core of our movement.” He also opened up on social media after Kirk’s assassination, writing on X, “I love you brother. You gave so many people the courage to speak up and we will not ever be silenced.”

Donald Trump and Charlie Kirk’s bond
Kirk shared a very close relationship with President Trump and his family. He was originally a Ted Cruz supporter, but later went on to become one of Trump’s most loyal supporters. In 2018, Trump hailed Kirk as a “warrior of light.” The conservative activist and popular influencer was one of very few people who golfed with Trump at Mar-a-Lago two days before the 2025 inauguration, according to The New York Times.

A frequent visitor to the White House, Kirk was credited by Trump with galvanizing and mobilizing the youth vote that helped Trump win the 2024 presidential election. Kirk was a trusted friend and adviser to Trump and his family.
