Food Poisoning in Martil: More Than 20 People Hospitalized

On Thursday morning, more than twenty people were admitted to the emergency day clinic in Martil, M’diq-Fnideq prefecture, due to suspected food poisoning. The victims reportedly consumed meals at a local fast-food restaurant.

Influx of Patients in Emergency Rooms

The emergency room was stormed from the early hours of the day, with patients with symptoms of food poisoning arriving in successive waves. According to reliable sources, around twenty people were affected by this incident.

Patients Treated and Discharged

All patients received the necessary care and were able to leave the hospital shortly after. However, health authorities do not rule out the possibility of new cases in the coming hours, due to the nature of the poisoning.

Investigation in Progress and Restaurant Closure

The victims included children, which sparked widespread concern in the community. Patients unanimously pointed the finger at a well-known fast-food restaurant in the area as the source of the poisoning. In response, local authorities immediately launched a preliminary investigation and ordered the establishment to temporarily close until the investigation was completed.
