Gitex Africa: ADD Teams up with Mauritania’s Digital Development Agency

Marrakech – Morocco’s Agency for Digital Development (ADD) signed, Friday in Marrakech, a partnership agreement with Mauritania’s Agence Nationale pour l’Édification de l’État Numérique (AN-ETAT).

The partnership agreement, inked on the sidelines of Gitex Africa held in Marrakech, focuses on sharing experiences and good practices as well as the exchange of information in the area of digital transformation.

It is also aimed at developing several projects of common interest, including that of interoperability between the information systems of public stakeholders, in addition to promoting digital platforms and applications.

The agreement also seeks to strengthen the capacities of human resources through training and skills building and to launch promotional and awareness-raising actions on the appropriate use of digital tools.

This partnership reflects the desire of the two sides to pool efforts in the area of digital development as well as the importance given by Morocco to strengthening South-South cooperation, in particular in the promising digital sector.
