Good news for Moroccans in Spain

The Spanish Ministry of Labor announced today a significant drop in the unemployment rate in the country for the month of June.

The number of unemployed has decreased significantly, with a reduction of 46,783 people, a decrease of 1.79% compared to last May.

A record since August 2008

According to the ministry, the total number of unemployed people now stands at 2.56 million, the lowest level since August 2008. This figure marks a decrease of 127,775 unemployed people, a drop of 4.75% compared to the same month in 2013.

The data shows a drop in the unemployment rate across all sectors in June.

The service sector recorded a decrease of 37,025 unemployed, while the industrial sector saw its number of unemployed drop by 4,388 people.

An improvement for young people

Youth unemployment also fell, with 3,939 fewer young people unemployed in June compared to May.

These figures bode well for Moroccans residing in Spain, as they indicate a general improvement in the country’s labor market. The Spanish Ministry of Labor stressed that these results reflect continued efforts to boost employment and reduce unemployment.

The post-pandemic economic recovery appears to be having a positive impact on various sectors, allowing a gradual reintegration of workers into the market.

In conclusion, the data shows that Spain is on track to achieve lower unemployment levels, providing new opportunities for all, including Moroccan residents.
