Guelmim: The 6th international festival “Shadows of the argan tree” from November 16 to 19 – Media7

Guelmim – The 6th edition of the international festival “Shadows of the argan tree” will be held from November 16 to 19 in the commune of Ait Bouflen (province of Guelmim) under the theme “Traditional knowledge and know-how of the local population: A human heritage and potential for sustainable development”.

The association “Shadows of the argan tree for development and human solidarity”, which organizes this festival, indicated that the activities planned as part of this event will take place in several spaces in the communes of Bouizakarne, Ait Bouflen and Guelmim, with a view to discovering the history of the region and its rich culture and ensuring that the cultural and environmental heritage which this province abounds, in particular the argan tree, becomes a lever for development.

This edition of the festival, which was scheduled for October 18 to 21 before being postponed, includes exhibitions of local agricultural products and crafts, a study day on the promotion of traditional knowledge on the argan tree as well as the signing of literary works and open meetings with national and international personalities from the world of thought, politics, culture and media.

Training will also be provided in the agricultural field on “Support for the entrepreneurial initiative of young people, cooperatives and associations”, in addition to a multidisciplinary medical campaign.
