Hakim Ziyech excluded from Galatasaray’s plans: an imminent end to the journey? – Media7
Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech could leave Galatasaray after coach Okan Buruk decided to exclude him from his future plans. This decision, revealed by the French media Afrique Foot, could push Ziyech to consider a transfer from the winter transfer window.
Ziyech, initially recruited with high expectations, is no longer considered a pillar of the team. Sources close to the club indicate that Buruk could continue to relegate him to the bench or sideline him altogether in future meetings. This situation calls into question Ziyech’s future within the Turkish club.
Since the start of the season, Ziyech’s participation has been limited. In five appearances, the player has only accumulated 256 minutes of play. A muscle injury, which kept him away from the field for 25 days, also impacted his playing time.
Ziyech was not included in the starting lineup against Besiktas on October 28, despite his team winning, nor in the following match against Elfsborg, fueling speculation that he would be phased out.
Faced with this situation, Qatari clubs, including Al-Gharafa and Al-Arabi, have reportedly expressed interest in the Moroccan player. According to information gathered, Al-Arabi would be ready to intensify his efforts, banking on the apparent tensions between Ziyech and Buruk.
Ziyech’s departure for Qatar would offer the player an alternative to revive his career. However, it remains to be seen whether this opportunity will materialize or whether Ziyech will manage to regain his place in the Galatasaray squad.
