Stade Rennais is seriously interested in Hakim Ziyech, the Moroccan winger from Galatasaray, to strengthen its attack during the winter transfer window. According to Turkish sources relayed by Foot Mercato, the Breton club could seize this opportunity to attract Ziyech, whose contract with the Turkish team expires in June 2025.
Ziyech, who is experiencing a delicate situation at Galatasaray, could be looking for a new challenge. The Moroccan striker, although he has shown flashes of talent, has yet to return to his best in Istanbul. Stade Rennais, which seeks to strengthen its offensive sector, could be an ideal destination to relaunch his career.
Negotiations for a contract extension between Ziyech and Galatasaray have not been successful, which could facilitate a departure as early as January 2024. The Turkish club will then have to decide whether it wants to sell the player or risk seeing him leave for free in the summer next.
