Heatwave and Dust: Weather Forecast in Morocco for this Wednesday

Sweltering heat and varied weather conditions will be on the agenda tomorrow in Morocco, according to forecasts from the General Directorate of Meteorology. The western regions of the Atlas, Saïss, the center of the country, as well as the eastern, southeastern and southern areas will be the most affected by this persistent heat wave.

Meteorologists also anticipate the formation of low clouds, accompanied by mist, mainly in the morning and at night, along the Mediterranean and on parts of the Atlantic coast.

At the same time, episodes of local dust are expected in the southeast of the country, particularly affecting the southern provinces, while fairly strong winds will blow along the central and southeast coasts, as well as in the southern regions.

Regarding temperatures, the minimums will range between 26 and 32 degrees Celsius in the southeast, and between 21 and 25 degrees Celsius in areas such as Chiadma, the Little Atlas, the Moulouya Valley, the Tadla plains and the extreme south of the country. At altitude, they will drop to between 13 and 16 degrees Celsius in the Atlas Mountains, and between 15 and 20 degrees Celsius elsewhere.

Daytime temperatures will increase significantly, exacerbating already prevailing hot conditions.

As for sea conditions, the Mediterranean will be calm, while the Strait of Gibraltar will be slightly to rough. Further south, beyond Cape Sim, waves could become rough to strong in the evening.
