Spanish national team coach Luis de la Fuente recently spoke about the challenges of Spain qualifying for the next stage of the UEFA Nations League. In the draw held yesterday in Paris, Spain was placed in group four, alongside Denmark, Switzerland and Serbia. De la Fuente stressed that this task would not be easy, requiring exceptional effort from his players.

He particularly highlighted the tough nature of the group, where Spain will have to compete with competitive teams such as Denmark, Switzerland and Serbia. Additionally, he noted the presence of big teams like Germany and France, which Spain avoided in the draw.

Asked about the possibility of integrating new players such as Brahim Diaz or Borja Mayoral into the next list, De la Fuente affirmed that the national team was open to new recruits, emphasizing that the call-up was based on the merit of the players in the field.

Despite the existence of a strong generation of footballers, De la Fuente also noted the challenges posed by injuries, which could open the door to new opportunities for renewal within the team.
