Marrakech – The Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch met, Friday in Marrakech, with the director of the African Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Jean Kaseya.

During this meeting held on the sidelines of the 2nd African Conference on Reducing Health Risks, the two officials highly praised Morocco’s commitment, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in favor of the transfer of experience and capacities of the Kingdom in the field of health for the benefit of the countries of the African continent.

This meeting, also marked by the presence of the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Khalid Ait Taleb, was an opportunity for both parties to highlight the tireless efforts deployed by the Kingdom to promote the unification of efforts of the African Continent to face the multiple dangers and risks linked to health.

Mr. Akhannouch, on this occasion, focused on the in-depth reform currently undergoing the health sector in Morocco, in application of the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

And to continue that this reform project is likely to allow the establishment of a strong health system, based on strategic institutions capable of facing current and future challenges, with greater efficiency and resilience. .

Mr. Akhannouch indicated that Morocco’s fight against Covid-19 has enabled the national health system to acquire the immunity required to deal with health crises and consolidate vaccination policy in Morocco as in Africa.
