Medical Aid Operation for Gaza Illustrates HM the King’s High Human Values, Says Al-Quds Archbishop
Al-Quds – The humanitarian medical aid operation for the Palestinian population in Gaza is a concrete illustration of the high human values of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, Archbishop Atallah Hanna, Head of the Sebastia Diocese of the Greek Orthodox Church in Al-Quds, said.
In a statement to MAP, the Archbishop expressed his thanks and gratitude to His Majesty the King for this new humanitarian initiative in favor of the Palestinians, emphasizing the key importance of its timing when the needs of the people in Gaza are greatly felt, particularly in terms of medical products.
“We would like to highly commend and thank His Majesty the King for His Humanitarian Initiative and for all the help He has provided to the Palestinian people, in general, and to our population in Gaza, in particular, who are suffering from the war and its consequences,” the Archbishop said.
His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, has given His Very High Instructions to deploy a humanitarian medical aid operation for the Palestinian population of Gaza, consisting of 40 tons of medical products containing, in particular, equipment for treating burns and surgical and traumatological emergencies, as well as essential medicines.
His Majesty the King, may God glorify Him, has kindly agreed to cover for a large part of the aid from the Sovereign’s personal funds.
