Microsoft launches its AI Tour in Morocco to boost startup innovation

Microsoft continues to invest in the Moroccan entrepreneurial ecosystem by launching its AI Tour, an initiative intended to promote artificial intelligence as a lever for innovation and growth. This free one-day event, held in Morocco, marks a key milestone in the continental agenda to democratize access to cutting-edge technologies.

Concrete support for Moroccan startups

Through programs such as Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub, the company already supports more than 300 African startups in various sectors, including health, agriculture, and energy. These initiatives offer essential resources like Azure credits, AI tools, and technical support. In Morocco, innovative companies such as PCS Agri and ATLAN Space benefit from this support to address concrete challenges, ranging from improving agricultural practices to optimizing autonomous drones.

The Microsoft AI Tour highlights these successes while providing a framework for collaborative learning. Participants, whether they are business leaders, developers or AI enthusiasts, can discover practical solutions adapted to their needs.

A platform for innovation and collaboration

The event features presentations, panel discussions, and workshops led by industry experts. Topics covered include key themes like “Measuring the Business Impact of Intelligent Applications” and “Securing Your Future in the Age of AI.” These sessions aim to provide an in-depth understanding of tools such as Microsoft Copilot, GitHub, and Azure AI Studio.

At the same time, Microsoft highlights real use cases to illustrate how AI can transform business models and solve complex problems. “The Microsoft AI Tour is not just a technology event, but an opportunity to create a future where AI becomes a driver of positive change for businesses and society,” says Salima Amira, Country Manager of Microsoft in Morocco.

A tour of Africa to spread the impact of AI

After its Moroccan stop, the Microsoft AI Tour will continue its journey to South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria, and Kenya in early 2025. This tour illustrates Microsoft’s commitment to promoting artificial intelligence across the African continent by showcasing emphasis on sustainable development and digital inclusion.

For Moroccan businesses, this event represents a unique opportunity to harness the potential of AI and acquire the skills needed to remain competitive in a rapidly changing global economy. Innovation, now at the heart of every strategic decision, finds in AI an essential ally to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
