Moroccan-Emirati Relations Take Qualitative Leap Forward (Academic)
Rabat – Moroccan-Emirati relations are taking a qualitative leap towards better horizons of prosperous and active economic partnership, thanks to the memorandums and Declaration “Towards an innovative, renewed and rooted partnership”, signed on the occasion of the working and fraternity visit of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to the United Arab Emirates, said professor Tajeddine Houssaini.
“Today, these relations are experiencing a decisive turning point towards a deep-rooted partnership, based on innovation and the depth of bilateral ties, going beyond the concept of strategic alliances that Morocco has established with other countries,” explained Houssaini in a statement to MAP.
This global partnership covers several areas of bilateral cooperation, he recalled, noting that the twelve memorandums signed on the occasion of the royal visit give exceptional priority to high-potential investments, essentially in the fields of infrastructure, water, energy, food security, etc…
The memorandums signed are also likely to strengthen Morocco-Emirati cooperation in the Afro-Atlantic area, he added.
According to him, the established partnerships mark a leap forward in the centuries-old relations uniting the two countries since the reign of the late HM King Hassan II and the late HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. These ties, he added, have always been based on solidarity, fraternity and convergence of views on regional and international issues.
