Morocco/Djibouti: Examination of ways to strengthen legal cooperation

Rabat – The Secretary General of the Government, Mohamed Hajoui, spoke on Tuesday in Rabat with his Djiboutian counterpart, Almis Mohamed Abdillahi, about ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the legal field.

Mr. Abdillahi, president of the National Commission for Public Procurement, is, at the head of a Djiboutian delegation, visiting Morocco aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and sharing experiences and good practices in the legal field, particularly in matters of digitalization of the process of developing legal texts.

Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Hajoui recalled the historic friendly relations between Rabat and Djibouti, noting that this visit essentially aims to draw inspiration from the Moroccan experience in the development of legal texts, in particular the Official Bulletin and texts relating to public procurement.

The Director General of Legislation and Legal Studies at the General Secretariat of the Government, Bensalem Belkourati, for his part, indicated that this visit is part of the Secretariat’s policy of openness towards its counterparts, particularly in Africa, and testifies to the strong relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Djibouti.

This meeting focused on the process of developing legislative and regulatory texts, the dematerialization of said texts and the digitization of the Official Bulletin, he said in a statement to the press.

For his part, Mr. Abdillahi affirmed that this visit was an opportunity to discuss the modalities of cooperation between the two countries in terms of digitization of the Official Bulletin while taking advantage of Moroccan experience in this area, as well as collaboration in the field of digitalization of public procurement.

The Djiboutian delegation expressed, on this occasion, its desire to develop cooperation in the field of digitalization and modernization of methods and processes linked to legal production.
