Positive assessment: The Direct Housing Assistance Program achieves 50% of its Objectives

Minister Mustapha Baytas announced today that the Direct Housing Assistance Program has reached half of its objectives, with nearly 64,000 applications received.

In a press conference following the weekly government meeting, Baytas revealed that 20% of requests were submitted by Moroccans living abroad, while 38% came from women, thus demonstrating a diversity of beneficiaries.

He stressed that 90% of requests are eligible for assistance, with 70% of requests concerning housing worth 300,000 dirhams. These figures demonstrate the importance of this program in achieving housing aspirations.

As for the project as a whole, Baytas said that 50% of the objectives have been achieved. The government has committed to supporting 110,000 housing units this year, representing an investment of 10 billion dirhams. This progress marks a significant step towards achieving the objectives set.

In addition, Baytas assured that all COVID-19 vaccines used in Morocco have been approved by the relevant scientific committees, thus addressing concerns about the safety and effectiveness of the vaccines.

This announcement confirms the Moroccan government’s commitment to meeting housing needs and ensuring public health in the context of the global pandemic.
