RAM Pilot Prevents Deportation of Moroccan Migrant

At Malpensa airport in Italy, an act of resistance took place last Wednesday when a Royal Air Maroc pilot made an unexpected decision. Faced with opposition from four individuals on the runway, the pilot refused to take off as long as a Moroccan migrant, about to be deported to his country of origin, was on board.

The Challenge of the Activists

The four people involved, members of the “No CPR” network, deliberately obstructed the departure of the plane, thus expressing their refusal of deportation procedures. These activists, known for their defense of migrants’ rights and their opposition to deportation measures, succeeded in drawing attention to the situation of the Moroccan migrant.

Airport Assault

Around 5 p.m. on Wednesday March 20, activists went to Malpensa airport to oppose the deportation of the Moroccan migrant. They argued that the latter had been sedated in order to ensure his transport without resistance. Despite efforts to maintain calm, the pilot ultimately decided to disembark the migrant, thus delaying the plane’s flight.

Consequences and Repercussions

Airport authorities reacted quickly by arresting the four activists as well as the migrant affected by the deportation order. This action not only highlighted the challenges faced by migrants, but it also sparked debate about deportation policies in Italy and beyond.

This situation highlights the importance of human rights and solidarity with the most vulnerable people, and it serves as a reminder that even in the most ordinary situations, acts of courage can arise to defend dignity and justice.
