Retail: Inwi Money & FMCG.ma Join Forces to Develop Financial Services

Marrakech – Inwi Money, a subsidiary of global operator Inwi, and FMCG.ma, an innovative startup operating in the consumer goods industry in Morocco, announced on Thursday the signing of a strategic partnership at the 2nd edition of GITEX Africa, taking place in Marrakech from May 29 to 31, 2024.

This strategic partnership aims to stimulate the development of financial services in the retail sector, based on loyalty mechanisms covering the entire value chain, sayd Inwi in a press release.

This technological collaboration is a concrete illustration of Inwi Money’s efforts to diversify payment methods in Morocco. It will also help accelerate financial inclusion for the greatest number of people, and promote the dematerialization of cash transactions.

Winner of the inwiDays Prize at the 2023 edition dedicated to Retailtech, FMCG.ma is recognized for its ability to manage thousands of points of sale thanks to its Order-Taking system with smart analysis capabilities.

With over 20,000 points of sale in several regions of the Kingdom, FMCG.ma is now a key player in Morocco’s consumer goods sector and in the digitalization of the distribution process between major suppliers and retailers.

This partnership between Inwi Money and FMCG.ma will give merchants and retailers easier access to innovative financial services, while benefiting from loyalty programs developed by FMCG.ma.

As part of the drive to digitalize the consumer goods sector, this partnership consolidates the close collaboration between global operator Inwi and Moroccan startups, while opening up new prospects for the development of innovative solutions tailored to the needs of Moroccan professionals and consumers.
