Ryanair: a new decision concerning domestic flights

In a recent announcement, airline Ryanair unveiled a major overhaul of its domestic flight policy, now offering Moroccan travelers the option to pay in Moroccan dirham. The move comes after a series of developments that highlighted the challenges faced by passengers when purchasing tickets.

Initially, the Ministry of Transport and Logistics granted Ryanair special authorization to operate domestic flights for one month, pending its alignment with current regulations. However, criticism emerged when tickets were only available for purchase via international bank cards in foreign currency, creating frustration among customers.

Following an intervention from the ministry, Ryanair announced an update to its payment policy, allowing passengers to pay the price of their ticket in Moroccan dirham, in addition to the international electronic payment options previously available.

The Ministry of Transport and Logistics welcomed this decision as a positive step towards better accessibility for Moroccan travelers. This initiative aims to facilitate bookings and meet the needs of local passengers, while strengthening national air links.

Initial reactions are encouraging, with strong demand for the first flights operated under this new policy. Passengers welcome this increased flexibility in payment options, which should help improve the overall travel experience.

Ryanair affirms its commitment to meeting the changing needs of its customers and continually improving its services to provide an exceptional travel experience for all its passengers.
