Ryanair Imposes New Restrictions on Travelers to Morocco
Budget airline Ryanair is to introduce new restrictions on liquids for passengers flying from Morocco from next month. The move follows incidents involving passenger behaviour on international flights that prompted the airline to review its security policies.
Since entering the Moroccan market, Ryanair has transformed the air transport landscape by offering affordable connections between the kingdom’s airports and various destinations around the world. However, an increase in inappropriate behaviour, particularly under the influence of alcohol or drugs, has been observed, prompting the company to take action.
Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary has announced at a press conference that passengers will no longer be allowed to carry bottles, even water, on board planes. The move is aimed at reducing incidents of unruly passengers, which have been on the rise on budget flights.
While this ban may be disruptive to some travellers, Ryanair believes it is necessary to ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers. Moroccan travellers will therefore need to prepare for these new restrictions before flying.
