Ryanair Spreads Its Wings: New Domestic Flights between Marrakech and Errachidia

Ryanair, the famous Irish airline, recently inaugurated domestic flights linking Marrakech to Errachidia.

As part of its expansion in Morocco, Ryanair has launched this new air route, operating two flights per week between the two cities. The first flight landed at Errachidia airport, coming from the red city of Marrakech. An inaugural event was organized in the presence of local officials to celebrate this new air connection.

This initiative is part of a larger plan by Ryanair to expand its operations in Morocco. In December 2023, the company received approval to operate domestic flights in the country. Since then, it has launched a total of 11 internal routes, connecting nine major Moroccan destinations, including Agadir, Essaouira, Fez, Ouarzazate and Tangier.

The main objective of these new flights is to promote tourism development in different regions of Morocco. By facilitating access to less accessible destinations, such as Ouarzazate, Essaouira and Errachidia, Ryanair hopes to attract more international visitors and stimulate the local economy.

With its status as the leading airline in Europe in terms of passenger numbers, Ryanair also has ambitions for significant growth in Morocco. According to projections from the Ministry of Tourism, Industry, Commerce and the Social and Solidarity Economy, the company aims to transport more than 10 million passengers per year by 2027.

This new connection between Marrakech and Errachidia therefore represents an important step in Ryanair’s expansion strategy in Morocco, while offering travelers a new option for exploring the wonders of the Kingdom.
