Schengen Visas: The Most Favorable European Countries for Moroccans in 2024
A recent study by “Schengen News” reveals that Switzerland, France, Poland, Portugal and the Czech Republic are among the European countries most favorable to granting Schengen visas to Moroccan citizens in 2024. According to the study’s data, Switzerland particularly stands out with an approval rate of 83.9% for Moroccan visa applications, placing this country at the top of the ranking.
France, a destination of choice for many Moroccans, has an approval rate of 81.3% on 251,950 visa applications in 2023, reinforcing its position as the third most welcoming country for Moroccans seeking Schengen visas. This figure includes 134,153 multiple-entry visas, representing more than 52% of the total visas granted by Paris to Moroccan citizens.
In second place, Poland records an approval rate of 83.1% on 693 visa applications, although this destination remains relatively unpopular with Moroccans. Despite a lower number of applications, this country presents significant opportunities for Moroccan visa applicants.
Portugal, ranked fourth, granted 1,902 visas out of 2,376 applications in 2023, an approval rate of 80.1%. In addition, Portugal has a high rate of multiple-entry visas, representing 68.14% of approved visas.
Finally, the Czech Republic completes this top five with an approval rate of 75.6% on 664 visa applications submitted by Moroccan citizens. Although this rate is slightly lower than that of the other countries mentioned, the Czech Republic remains a favorable destination for visa applicants.
The study highlights the importance of diplomatic relations and specific visa policies in granting Schengen visas. These five European countries stand out for their openness, thus offering promising prospects for Moroccans wishing to travel to Europe in 2024.
