Sofyan Amrabat Leaves Manchester United

Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has officially ended his time with Manchester United, marking the conclusion of a tumultuous period at the English club. Arriving with high expectations, Amrabat saw his adventure with the Red Devils punctuated by ups and downs, despite an encouraging end to the season.

The 25-year-old joined Manchester United from Fiorentina in the summer of 2023, bringing with him a reputation as a tough and versatile midfielder. However, despite a promising start, Amrabat quickly encountered obstacles throughout the season.

Recurring injuries disrupted his continuity on the pitch, affecting his pace of play and overall performance. Despite these difficulties, Amrabat managed to contribute significantly to Manchester United’s FA Cup final victory over Manchester City, thereby etching his name in the club’s history.

However, despite this encouraging conclusion, the Moroccan player failed to fully convince the club’s management to keep him for the following season. In an official statement released on Wednesday June 5, Manchester United confirmed Amrabat’s departure by not listing him among the players sent to the Premier League.

His return from loan to Fiorentina was thus made official, putting an end to his adventure with the Red Devils. Currently training with the Moroccan national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Amrabat is now free to find a new club where he can continue his career.

Rumors are already circulating about the player’s possible destinations, with teams such as Lazio Rome and Napoli showing interest in his services. The future of Sofyan Amrabat therefore remains to be closely monitored in the days to come.
