Start in Palermo of the work of the 32nd General Assembly of AMAN, with the participation of MAP – Media7

Palermo – The work of the 32nd General Assembly of the Alliance of Mediterranean Press Agencies (AMAN) began on Wednesday in Palermo, Italy, with the participation of directors general and representatives of the alliance’s member press agencies, including the MAP.

MAP is represented at this General Assembly by its Director General, Mr. Fouad Arif, accompanied by the new director of the Agency’s Western Europe Pole, Mr. Abdelghani Aouifia.

This assembly is marked by the organization of a conference on the theme “Energy and tourism for sustainable development in the Mediterranean” which will be an opportunity for participants to highlight the contribution of AMAN member press agencies in promoting this theme.

The agenda of this 32nd General Assembly also includes organizational points, notably the presentation of the report of the outgoing president of AMAN, the adoption of the financial report and the election of the new executive committee of the AMAN. ‘alliance.

Founded in 1991, AMAN is a professional NGO bringing together press agencies from the Mediterranean basin, in addition to observer members, including the Atlantic Federation of African Press Agencies (FAAPA).

AMAN sets itself the objectives of strengthening the exchange of information, dialogue, and cooperation between Mediterranean press agencies.
