The commune of Tetouan has issued a new directive requiring the closure of wedding halls at 1 a.m. and prohibiting the use of firecrackers. This decision, which aims to reduce noise pollution and improve public safety, comes into force immediately.

In a reminder letter addressed to all owners of party and wedding halls, the municipality of Tetouan insisted on the need to comply with article 100 of the regulations of local authorities. This regulation concerns the organization of establishments harmful to health, noisy and dangerous.

Restrictions and Security Measures

The letter echoes correspondence from the governor of the province of Tetouan, stipulating that the use of loudspeakers inside and outside party halls is regulated from March 22 to September 23 from 1 a.m. morning, and from September 24 to March 21 from midnight.

Commitment and Compliance

Venue owners must now refrain from using firecrackers and must ensure the necessary health and safety conditions. They must also take precautions to avoid obstructing traffic and disturbing the neighborhood with excessive noise.

Contractual obligation

The municipality invited room managers to sign a commitment with room users, ensuring compliance with the conditions imposed. Any breach of these regulations will result in sanctions in accordance with the laws in force.

This new directive underlines the commitment of the municipality of Tetouan to maintaining public order and protecting the tranquility of residents.
