The Casablanca Stock Exchange opens in green

The Casablanca Stock Exchange began trading in the green on Tuesday, its benchmark index, the MASI, gaining 0.31% to 13,200.12 points (pts).

Shortly after the opening, the MASI.20, an index bringing together the 20 most liquid stocks, gained 0.39% to 1,066.49 pts, while the MASI.ESG, an index of companies with the best ESG rating, such as published by Moody’s ESG Solutions, increased by 0.4% to 958.69 pts.

The MASI Mid and Small Cap, the thematic index which calculates the price performance of small and medium-sized companies listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, rose 0.72% to 1,216.24 pts.

In values, Jet Contractors (+3.6% to 575 DH), Sanlam Maroc (+3.42% to 1,998 DH), Miniere Touissit (+2.79% to 1,400 DH), TGCC SA (+2.49% to 312.6 DH), and Aradei Capital (+1.83% to 500 DH) recorded the largest increases.

On the other hand, the biggest declines were recorded by Afma (-1.96% to 1,200 DH), Involys (-0.58 to 85 DH), Afric Industries SA (-0.31 to 319 DH), Med Paper (- 0.05% to 19.28 DH) and Fenie Brossette (-0.05% to 102.8 DH).

On Monday, the MASI closed with a loss of 0.29%.
