The Governing Council approves a bill relating to the film industry and reorganizing the CCM

Rabat – The Government Council, meeting on Wednesday, approved bill No. 18.23 relating to the film industry and reorganization of the Moroccan Cinematographic Center (CCM), taking into account the observations made.

Presented by the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohammed Mehdi Bensaid, this text intervenes to support the evolution experienced by the film sector at all levels, in particular the use of technologies in the film industry , declared government spokesperson Mustapha Baitas during a press briefing after the weekly meeting of the Council.

The bill also intervenes to enable the CCM to support these developments and strengthen its role in the development of the film industry capable of promoting the promotion of Moroccan cinema in its economic and investment dimensions, a- he explained.

The text aims to create a sophisticated film industry that meets the expectations of the Kingdom, based on the principles of governance, competitiveness and equal opportunities, as well as on the consecration of transparency in the market, in addition of the upgrading of the cinematographic sector capable of making it a lever for economic, social and cultural development, added Mr. Baitas.
