The Governing Council learns about two cooperation agreements with Sierra Leone and Angola

Rabat – The Governing Council, meeting on Wednesday under the chairmanship of the head of government, was informed of two cooperation agreements with Sierra Leone and Angola, presented by the Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament, spokesperson of the government, Mustapha Baitas, on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans living abroad.
This is an agreement on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Sierra Leone, signed on April 28, 2023 in Dakhla, and a bill n° 30.23 approving the said agreement, indicated Mr. Baitas during a press briefing following the Governing Council.
This agreement aims to strengthen the legal framework for mutual legal assistance in the criminal field, while setting out the terms and conditions for requesting this assistance and the cases justifying its rejection, Mr. Baitas said.
The second cooperation agreement in the tourism field was signed on July 11, 2023 in Rabat between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Angola.
According to the Minister Delegate, this agreement aims to promote tourist exchanges between Morocco and Angola and to strengthen cooperation between the central administrations, national authorities and offices as well as the agencies and professional tourism associations of the two country.
