The Royal Speech defines priority projects and highlights the depth of authentic Moroccan (parliamentary) values

Rabat – Members of both Houses of Parliament affirmed, Friday in Rabat, that the speech addressed by HM King Mohammed VI, at the opening of the 1st session of the 3rd legislative year of the 11th legislature, defines priority social projects and highlights the depth of authentic Moroccan values, particularly during crises and adversities.

In statements to the press, these deputies assured that the parliamentary institution has the responsibility to contribute, in the light of royal directives, to the consolidation of the system of national values ​​with a view to translating them into practice through constitutional missions. control, legislation and evaluation assigned to it.

In this context, the president of the National Rally of Independents (RNI) group in the House of Representatives, Ahmed Ghayat, described as “wise” the royal guidelines for the realization of numerous priority development, social and legislative projects, leading including the acceleration of the implementation of the rehabilitation project of the areas affected by the earthquake and the continuation of support and assistance to the affected people.

The royal speech also addressed the general framework of the revision of the Moudawana, the family being the basic unit of society, in addition to the project of social protection, he added, noting that HM the King “insisted on the operationalization of the direct social assistance program, by extending this support to children of school age and children with disabilities, in addition to vulnerable social categories”.

The Royal Speech, he continued, highlighted the importance of a system of values ​​commensurate with a new society, as well as the consecration of national values ​​which, while being in harmony with the ideals universal, form the basis of the Moroccan State.

For his part, the president of the democratic and social constitutional group in the House of Advisors, Chaoui Belassal, maintained that the Royal Speech once again shed light on the values ​​of solidarity distinguishing Moroccan society and which were manifested during the earthquake. having affected Al Haouz and other regions of the Kingdom.

These values, he said, testify to the cohesion demonstrated by Moroccan society during trials and periods of crisis and demonstrate its unity and the rooting of its constants with a view to moving forward on the path to development and prosperity, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty the King.

For her part, the parliamentary deputy of the Authenticity and Modernity Party, Nejwa Koukous, focused on two major points in the Royal Speech: the first emphasizes the reconstruction of the disaster regions, while the second concerns the construction site of Family Code.

She maintained that the common thread uniting these two projects consists of the preservation of family unity and attachment to authentic Moroccan values.

Same story from the president of the Istiqlalien group of unity and egalitarianism in the House of Advisors, Abdeslam Lebbar, who underlined that the Royal Speech carries several messages of an important social fiber, in connection particularly with the Family Code and social protection.

“HM the King insisted on the need to protect the family as the core and pillar of society,” he continued, noting that the Sovereign also welcomed the surge of solidarity shown by Moroccans to help those affected by the earthquake.

On the same note, advisor Khalid Setti of the National Union of Labor in Morocco (UNTM) affirmed that the Royal Speech constitutes a road map both for the government and for the parliament with a view to “the implementation of major projects which have strategic dimensions for our country”, emphasizing the importance of good governance to achieve the expected objectives.

Abdelilah Hifdi, member of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises group in the House of Advisors, stressed that the Royal Speech charged Parliament with a new responsibility, in this case that of observing vigilance in matters of development of laws capable of embodying the social State in all its manifestations.

In this regard, he emphasized the role of the legislative institution in the implementation of social and development projects and programs, particularly those related to the management of the effects of the Al Haouz earthquake and the register unified social.
