Turning Point USA confirmed rumors on Thursday, saying it will put on an ‘All American Halftime Show’, countering the Bad Bunny-led Super Bowl halftime show in February next year. This comes as the NFL faced massive online backlash after announcing Bad Bunny as their star performer for the 2026 Super Bowl. The Puerto Rican has previously indicated that he fears Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids at his shows.

“It’s true, Turning Point USA is thrilled to announce The All American Halftime Show. Performers and event details coming soon,” TPUSA announced on X, platform formerly known as Twitter.
A form with the announcement was published by TPUSA to get updates about the show. The form asks for basic personal details, including musical preferences, with one tongue-in-cheek option reading ‘anything in English’.

Bad Bunny notably skipped US stops during his 2025–2026 world tour, citing concerns over immigration enforcement under President Donald Trump’s administration.
At the time, Martinez said he was worried that fans might face risks attending his concerts. “People from the US could come here to see the show,” he told reporters.
“Latinos and Puerto Ricans from the United States could also travel here, or anywhere else. But there was the issue that ICE could be outside the venue — and that was something we were very concerned about.”
Since his Super Bowl performance was announced, Bad Bunny has sparked renewed controversy in the US. In one instance, he remained seated during a rendition of ‘God Bless America’ at Yankee Stadium, while others stood. He later appeared to taunt critics by urging Americans to ‘learn Spanish’ before his halftime appearance, saying they had ‘four months to do it’.
It is unclear who will perform at Turning Point USA’s show. The announcement was made weeks after the organization’s founder, Charlie Kirk, was fatally shot at Utah Valley University. His wife, Erika Kirk, has taken over as CEO.
