Under HM the King’s Leadership, Morocco Achieved “Tremendous” Economic, Social Progress (IMF Managing Director)
Washington – The Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva, has commended the “tremendous” economic and social progress achieved by Morocco under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
In a message on the occasion of the celebration of the glorious Throne Day, Kristalina Georgieva pointed out that under HM the King’s leadership, the Moroccan economy “has become modern, highly competitive and fast growing and most importantly it is delivering tangible improvements in the living standards of the Moroccan people”.
“I was delighted to see for myself the amazing blend of rich history and rapid development of Morocco during the 2023 World Bank and IMF Annual Meetings in Marrakech, to experience the warm hospitality of the Moroccan people and to present my deep respect and gratitude in person to His Majesty the King”, she added.
The IMF Managing Director said that she cherishes this experience as well as the “cross partnership” with Morocco, wishing happiness and prosperity to HM Majesty the King and to the Moroccan people.
