The facts occurred this Sunday evening in La Courneuve, in Seine-Saint-Denis. It all started shortly after 10 p.m. when the police were alerted that two individuals wearing balaclavas were handling a firearm in rue Paul-Verlaine. Two crews quickly went to the scene and identified the two suspects in a car.

It was then that the driver refused to comply and deliberately drove towards the police officers who had gotten out of their vehicles. In response, two officers opened fire several times, but the driver managed to flee. Further on, he will rush towards another crew from the Anti-Crime Brigade (BAC) who was trying to block his way. Two other police officers also fired, in vain. Part of this refusal to comply was filmed and broadcast on social networks.

Finally, the suspect, like his passenger, will be arrested in Pierrefitte-sur-Seine. They were taken into police custody, according to information from Valeurs contemporains and Actu17. A firearm was discovered in their vehicle, which was reported stolen. During the intervention, one of the police officers was slightly injured.
