“We must kill them all”: Edwy Plenel’s grandson in police custody for insulting police officers

This is what allegedly happened on Friday in Paris, during demonstrations against austerity.

A small 100,000 according to the police, 200,000 according to the CGT: the demonstrations against austerity organized this Friday throughout France did not mobilize the crowds.

In Paris, there were “barely” 10,000. But that did not prevent excesses: 23 people were arrested. Among them, the grandson of Edwy Plenel.

According to information from Le Parisien, the grandson of the founding journalist of Mediapart was still in police custody this Saturday at the start of the afternoon.

The facts with which the 17-year-old young man is accused? “Outrage and participation in a group with a view to preparing violence and/or damage to property”. According to our colleagues who cite “a security source, the young man is suspected of having insulted and threatened the police.” He then allegedly shouted at them: “We must kill them all”.
