Weather alert: strong winds and snowfall expected Monday and Tuesday

The Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) announces strong gusts of wind and snowfall in several provinces of the kingdom on Monday and Tuesday.

Winds from 75 to 85 km/h will affect, Monday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., the provinces of Youssoufia, Chichaoua, Essaouira, Marrakech, Berrechid, El Jadida, Rehamna, Safi and Sidi Bennour, according to an orange level alert bulletin.

In addition, 5 to 20 cm snowfall are planned from 1,900 meters above sea level, from Monday 6 p.m. to Tuesday 12 noon, in the provinces of Ouarzazate, Tinghir, Al Haouz, Azilal, Béni Mellal, Ifrane and Midelt.
