Weather: between clouds, winds and extreme temperatures this Friday, November 29, 2024

The weather forecast for this Friday, November 29, 2024, established by the General Directorate of Meteorology, announces a diversity of climatic conditions across the Kingdom. Between high temperatures in certain regions and morning coolness elsewhere, here is a detailed overview.

Marked heat in the plains and in the South

The northern and central plains, as well as the Saharan provinces, will experience fairly hot to locally hot weather. These temperatures, exceeding 30°C in places, are particularly remarkable for this time of year. The regions of Agadir, Laâyoune and Dakhla will record the highest peaks, with 32°C and 34°C respectively for Dakhla.

Clouds and foggy formations

The High Atlas will be marked by the presence of cumuliform clouds, while high altitude cloudy passages will be visible in the Rif, the Middle Atlas, as well as in the North-West and South regions. The Mediterranean coast and the north of the Oriental will not be spared by foggy formations, creating a hazy atmosphere at the start of the day.

Wind and dust blower

The Saharan provinces will also be subject to locally quite strong gusts of wind. These conditions could cause localized dust blowing, reducing visibility in certain areas. Motorists and travelers are advised to exercise caution, particularly in desert areas.

Sea state: calm on the Mediterranean, rough on the Atlantic

Maritime conditions differ between the Mediterranean and Atlantic coasts. The Mediterranean and the Strait of Gibraltar will benefit from beautiful to slightly rough seas. On the other hand, the Atlantic coast, between Mehdia and Tarfaya, will be rougher, with locally heavy seas.

The contrasting temperatures

Minimum temperatures will vary greatly between different regions. In Ifrane, a minimum of 3°C is expected, marking the most notable morning coolness. In contrast, Dakhla will record a maximum temperature of 34°C, the highest in the Kingdom. Other cities like Marrakech (29°C), Casablanca and Rabat (28°C) will also experience a relatively hot day.
