Born on May 18, 2003, in West Palm Beach, Florida, Hunter honed his skills at Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, Georgia, where he rose to become the No. 1 recruit in the country during his senior year.
His distinctive freshman ability led to double achievement with the Chuck Bednarik Award for outstanding defensive performance and the Fred Biletnikoff Award for top wide receiver status.

Notably, Colorado Buffaloes’ WR’s father, Travis Hunter Sr., was a multi-sport athlete at Boynton Beach Community High School and went on to play semipro football, earning the Southern States Football League’s Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2007.
Hunter has become a massive name in the NIL space
With a valuation of $2.4 million, he ranks as the sixth highest-paid college athlete. His net worth is estimated to be around $6 million, thanks to endorsement deals with brands like NXTRND, Michael Strahan Brand, and a Ford dealership partnership that saw him roll away in a 2023 Ford Ranger.
Hunter even featured on the cover of EA Sports College Football ‘25, alongside Donovan Edwards and Quinn Ewers.
He reportedly has gotten engaged to Kennesaw State University graduate Leanna Lenee. In 2022, the two started dating and asked for her hand in February 2024. Travis and Leanna currently live together and run a YouTube channel, Travis and Leanna, amassing over 110,000 subscribers.
