Zaio: Seizure of 18 Cars Using Butane Gas

Last week, police in the town of Zaio launched a security operation specifically targeting vehicles using butane gas in clandestine transportation. This initiative follows a notable increase in these vehicles in the region.

At the end of the operation, the authorities confiscated 18 cars, all placed in the municipal pound of Zaio, recently opened to respond to this type of situation.

Taxi drivers, both independent and those affiliated with companies, reacted strongly to this measure. They express their dissatisfaction with competition deemed “unfair and illegal” from unregulated vehicles using butane gas.

Zaio Police continue to closely monitor the situation and promise additional actions to ensure safety and fairness in the transportation sector.
