A man known for radicalization arrested in possession of a knife near a high school, in Limay, in Yvelines

A man was arrested for carrying a prohibited weapon this Friday afternoon near the Condorcet high school in Limay in Yvelines. According to the first elements reported, the individual was leaving a prayer room, located near the school, when he was checked by police officers from the departmental intervention company.
This man, already known for radicalization, was in possession of a kitchen knife, indicates Le Parisien. He was taken into police custody and an investigation was opened to clarify the circumstances in which he was in possession of a bladed weapon in the street.
This intervention took place in the particular context of the knife attack which took place this Friday, October 13 in Arras and cost the life of a professor and injured two other people.
Earlier in the day, the Minister of National Education Gabriel Attal called for the security of establishments to be reinforced “without delay”.
